Pros
- Good coworkers - Perks - occasional sponsored happy hour, Christmas party, free lunches throughout the year - Flexible schedule (this is dependent on team/department/manager - some managers are incredibly strict and micromanage their teams, some are okay with flexible work hours as long as work is completed)
Cons
- Pay is NOT market value. Expect to be paid $10-20k under what other companies are offering for most positions/departments because Cvent penny pinches at every opportunity. This will bleed into raises as well, which only happen once a year. - TONS of inter office politics. Some teams (specifically sales and client services) are run like high school cliques: people who are “popular” are promoted, regardless of skill and leadership capabilities. Most of senior management is homegrown (Cvent is the only place they’ve ever worked), creating an echo chamber when it comes to decision making. - High performers are overworked and undervalued. Most will jump ship between 1-2 years in after realizing they won’t be paid/respected for what they do. - Cvents reputation, especially over the last few years, isn’t great in the industry because of pricing and policies. If you’re a sales person specifically, good luck. Companies HATE Cvent.
