Pros
Not much you can say here.
Cons
Managment. From Construction managers up to the Orlando division President. They lie to cover each other and hide things. Send emails about what you can and cannot say during regional tours. Throw supers under the bus at every turn. They sell you on how great the company is and you set your closing date and this and that. Fact is, Managment sets the closing date to reflect what they are expected to close month over month. Even when you give them 60 days notice that a closing needs moved in order to complete the house, they refuse or ignore your request and lie saying you never asked for help. Managers are constantly shutting trades and labor around to where they are it needed, taking labor off your houses. With lack of dependable trades and no help from Managment, your left with rushed closings and incomplete items. Then your told, if you did your job, this wouldn’t happen. They won’t give you a few extra days to complete a house but they have no problem canceling a contract on a new home owner the day before closing. When DRHortons inflated homes appraise under value the new home owner is expected to produce the difference (thousands of dollars) before closing and when they cannot, DHI cancels on them. This place reminds me of a cattle processing plant. They are there to do a job, process and produce. They don’t care about the product or the end client.
