Cons
The culture and working environment used to be more relaxed and friendly. Lately, it's tense. I understand that they've received feedback in the past that staff wanted more structure - recently however, the micromanaging is becoming completely overbearing, patronising and just anxiety-inducing. Managers seem to have taken some managerial course and their language when speaking to us is just condescending buzzwords. The company talks a big game about mental health but managerial teams (across departments) don't take it seriously. HR seems inflexible and is a good reminder that HR is ultimately on the managers' and company's side. Feedback on processes is received but not really listened to by middle managers - there's just a defence couched in buzzwords. I have no idea if this is all related to the Estee Lauder takeover or not.
