Pros
Lots of good people to work with on a local level, used to have a good strategy of services to offer that supported the oil field.
Cons
Private Equity group got greedy, asked for more money, and lost their buyer before the oil prices tanked. They weren't prepared or capable of managing this large group of oil field companies, but were confident they were smarter than all the local management of these companies. In January 2013, after successfully merging the operations of all 5 companies into one, we were at a peak of over 800 employees in 10 states. Poor management decisions continually lost business and profitability, forcing management to sell off assets. They are currently at less than 50 employees that can only offer a couple of services now.
