Too much for what you are paid - Class A Truck Driver DHL Employee Review

Too much work for pay, I would not call this job light touch. You are literally unloading a trailer full of big huge boxes however there are engines, transmissions and converters that are huge and heavy. Then you are reloading transmissions engines and other huge heavy parts. Then you have to open and close gates in each dealerships, opening and closing doors at the dealerships, setting and unsetting alarms. Way too much! No matter how many hours you work, you will get no more than 1100-1400 a week. I had the opportunity to do 2 different routes and the other one was no better. I was asked to drive 2 hours to meet another driver a loves to swap doubles and then drive 2 hours back on top of going to 2 different dealerships that's adds 2 hours more of Drivetime to your route plus unloading and reloading a trailer! The benefits have a very high deductible. No thank you. Also, training was not good at all!
