Pros

Fantastic Campus with beautiful gym and facilities Work/Life Balance Equity and Bonus structure

Cons

Politics, Politics, Politics. It’s not what you know on the merchandising side, it’s who you know. With such an emphasis on promoting from within their MTP crews they forget about those that have been in retail longer than some of these kids have been alive. 30 somethings are promoted to Directors, DMM, and GMM with no real retail experience other than what they’ve learned from other political leaders in the company. Heavily focused on the merchant side of the organization and rarely listens to the advice of the planning organization. Upper level managers are too afraid to push back or ask question of Ed Stack when he gives direction. Too many “yes men/women” that just take their marching orders from an ever changing merchandising philosophy from the top. Too much time wasted going ditch to ditch on merchandising initiatives creating unrealistic expectations on the planning and allocations team.

Pros

- Unlimited PTO with 401k match is awesome

Cons

- Performance expectations were often unclear or inconsistently communicated, Feedback was reactive instead of timely and actionable. - Leadership quality varied dramatically by manager, with limited coaching or mentorship. - Constant shifting priorities without adjusting expectations or workload. - Psychological safety was lacking, Honest communication feel risky. - Leadership messaging around culture didn't match day-to-day reality. - Process was often valued more than impact or results. - Compensation well below market, w/little flexibility during negotiations. - I felt excluded from key conversations and opportunities that were important to my success.
