Pros

Fun atmosphere, lots interesting product sold, good incentives, can't really think of much else that was good. It's really unfortunate.

Cons

This company in its poorly operated model will find a way to terminate store level employees at any cost for any reason. (cashiers up to the Store Manager) And if there are no grounds for termination you will be treated very poorly until you quit. If district or regional managers want one of your employees gone, you had better find a way or you would be the one on watch. The operation of DSG is broken although I'm not sure it was ever properly established. Truck shipments come delivered loose. I had a ping pong table (300 lbs) fall on one of my employees. The incident report process was a joke and they were irritated when he couldn't return to work because of medical reasons... By an injury sustained due to negligent shipment processes. And finally. I worked 6-7 days a week for a minimum of 10 hours a day. Absolutely NO work/life balance.

Pros

Corporate is 10/10. At a large company, every department is different but they value their customers and employees and offer great benefits. Rewarding to work there

Cons

Not much to say. Best employer I’ve had

Pros

- Unlimited PTO with 401k match is awesome

Cons

- Performance expectations were often unclear or inconsistently communicated, Feedback was reactive instead of timely and actionable. - Leadership quality varied dramatically by manager, with limited coaching or mentorship. - Constant shifting priorities without adjusting expectations or workload. - Psychological safety was lacking, Honest communication feel risky. - Leadership messaging around culture didn't match day-to-day reality. - Process was often valued more than impact or results. - Compensation well below market, w/little flexibility during negotiations. - I felt excluded from key conversations and opportunities that were important to my success.
