Pros
Working at DP Electric has been good experience for me. I work in the office in the Project Management/Operations side. The entire office is filled with people that are down to earth and respect eachother. Everyone is cool and they help eachother. Being a cohesive team is encouraged by executive leadership as we do have many optional functions. DP just bought hundreds of tickets for their employees and famlies/guests to go a Diamondbacks game together. It is very common for the president or vice president to stop by your work area to say hi and then invite you to lunch. They say hi to you if you pass them in the hallway and always project positivity. The company has paid for me to participate in the ABA program. I believe they care about my personal & professional development. They have a dedicated HR person who is responsible for developing employees. He's always out at jobsites speaking with guys in the field to see how he can help them pursue their career ambitions. The owner started as a regular worker, driving an S-10 truck. He wanted more and understands what it's like to want more in life. So far I have worked for a Senior Project Manager, Operations Director and the VP. The senior pm was willing to train me and show me how to do my job successfully. The Ops Director treated me with respect and is as down to earth as they come. The VP is highly energetic, funny and has been very good to me. I respect the man very highly. As for insurance: I pay a little over $5 a check for Aetna Insurance with the Banner network. I recently went to the doctor and was prescribed some very expensive medication and my copay was only $10. As for compensation: I was offered a good wage. It says right on the mission statement sign when you walk in the office they believe in sharing earnings. I have been at the company less than a year and I have already been promoted. I was employed by another company when I was interviewed. I took a chance leaving another company that would have probably kept me employed forever. I am glad I took the chance. I am happy here with no regrets.
Cons
I wish I could wear shorts on Casual Fridays'.
