Pros

Great opportunities for professional growth and exposure to complex, cross-functional work.

Cons

* Job responsibilities frequently change and continue to expand beyond the original scope of the role. * Employee burnout and turnover are ongoing concerns as lean teams are expected to absorb additional work when employees leave. * Workloads have increased significantly over time, while compensation tends to remain on the lower end of the posted salary range. * High performers are often rewarded with additional responsibilities rather than meaningful compensation adjustments or additional support. * Organizational changes and layoffs are not communicated transparently. In some situations, employees may feel they are being managed out. * New leaders and managers are sometimes placed in their roles without sufficient training or support, creating unclear priorities and unnecessary inefficiencies. * Sustainable work-life balance can be difficult to maintain, particularly during periods of organizational change.
