Pros

DPR has been a place where I could truly cut my own path forward. There are plenty of opportunities to move within the company. There are opportunities available for those who can build relationships with others and network. I have found it easy to get in front of the right people as most I have met in leadership have a good listening ear. Putting out to them what I want to achieve and showing up ready each day to provide value enabled me to achieve 2 promotions in one year. This may not be the case all across the company but it is my experience. There is also plenty of training and growth tools provided for free by the company.

Cons

As is the case with most companies in construction there is a lot of extremely busy seasons in a projects lifecycle. It does not always feel like you can have the best work life balance.

The company emphasizes collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement, creating an environment where employees feel valued and supported. Leadership is approachable and transparent, and there’s a genuine commitment to developing individuals both professionally and personally. The work itself is engaging and impactful, especially if you enjoy complex, technical, high-quality projects. DPR empowers its teams with trust and autonomy while still providing the resources needed to succeed. There’s also a strong focus on innovation, safety, and doing things the right way, which makes the work feel meaningful. Fast-paced environment (construction industry in general) may not be for everyone.
