Pros
A clean, comfortable corporate work environment. The new office in Iselin is impressive and modern, and a great amenity and asset to current workers. I had a great boss! I had room to flourish and grow in this company. I was given a lot of responsibilities very early on and I took all of this seriously. I worked hard and cared about my job and I felt that not everyone was like this. A lot of people acted as if I was a breath of fresh air. At a lot of other companies, I wasn't "trusted" to work on challenging tasks because I was so young. You won't find that here at DSV. A challenge is presented to you and it's up to you to thrive or fail. There are some friendly and kind people that you will meet here as well.
Cons
I would have stayed but the compensation for this role was capped too low for my standards, as well as the amount of work that is expected of you. I understand that the company business model is to limit management, but some people in these positions do not care about the people they oversee; and I personally would like to be proud of the leaders in my group, and hope to learn from them. I felt like this was lacking. In particular, the upper management experience I had at times would be harsh and unfriendly, without any positives to balance out meetings/reviews. This can be discouraging. It's a lot of work, which I am fine with, but I felt like I was underpaid for my work product. DSV needs to review their salaries/salary caps for some positions. It felt like as time went on, more and more was being asked of me, with no discussion of additional compensation/raises. Another issue I had was that new hires were not up to par with the work; I am thinking it's because of the aforementioned salary restrictions.
