Pros
You get a paycheck. Everything is mediocre at best. Free lunch every month? Unlimited coffee in break room. Decent amount of vacation time.
Cons
Family business intent on expanding to a larger company without adjusting policies. Favoritism on all levels of management Incompetent "favorites" put into supervisory roles that they cannot handle or create egotistical maniacs. Supposed "open door" policy leads to increased scrutiny of the person complaining. Company claims to prefer to hire from within, but then almost always hires outside. Job descriptions are vague and have plenty of room for "creative" interpretation. Often end up doing multiple job roles without compensation. Most job titles pay less than industry averages. Creative solutions to problems are discouraged because "That's how we do it" mentality.
