Pros

The people on the floor are amazing, the patients are amazing. Very solid benefits. Very diverse staff, apart from management.

Cons

The pay is abysmal. They are not doing a great job maintaining a good workplace and compared to other centers, SITCAFF is not a main focus at the Central Mesa center. There is a reason they are being audited by the state. Career pathways are great if you want to stick with DaVita, but most of the staff want to jump ship due to being severely underpaid compared to other companies. Management is all white, and there is a strong culture and camaraderie disconnect between management and the people on the floor. A sense of entitlement and the are threatened by people who know their worth, who aren't commited to being DaVita lifers. There have been amazing people who have come in to the center that I have trained and that have shadowed me and they won't get hired because management sees them as a retention risk and it is too the point that we don't have enough bodies to function by company policy. For a company with a Latino CEO, there are a lot of racist white people in management who do not value quality diversity and inclusion.

Pros

Depending on location and your clinic, leadership team is incredibly supportive, which keeps the day-to-day work environment relatively stress-free. Having the independence to manage your own scheduling also allows for an excellent work-life balance.

Cons

The initial onboarding and training programs are highly disorganized and lack substance. Additionally, standard pay raises are quite low and do not feel competitive relative to the workload and current market value.
