Pros
I have been a part of DaVita Labs for 3 years. The Labs offers great development opportunities, competitive pay, performance incentives, great scheduled, benefits, and tons of employee engagement opportunities (Lab Week, End of Year Celebrations, Birthday Celebrations, DaVita University, the toastmasters club, Lunch and Learns). I have never seen a company do so much for their employees or strive to engage their employees. I have never seen so many fun meetings with great learning. This Team treats its employees a million times better than other companies- I came from a Fortune 500 Company that didn't bother to do employee engagement events, or develop us, or couldn't care less about us as employees because we were replaceable and worked us like crazy. It's not like that at the Labs. I feel like my managers, the supervisors, and the team really cares about my future and the managers are always asking the teammates what they can do better. I feel that I am recognized for a job well done. The Lab has great goals that the teammates work hard to achieve all for the good of the patients.
Cons
I feel like the only cons are teammates who always have a gripe :( I think some teammates have forgotten just how great a place this is especially compared with other organizations. Some of the teammates have negative attitudes which makes me wonder if the labs is so awful- why stay? Thank goodness that many of the teammates are wonderful and make the work place so much fun! I love my managers and my fellow teammates
