Pros

An opportunity to be a citizen of the DaVita Village- absolutely awesome parent company! Overall strong commitment to their company values- recently redone Generally pleasant place to work- they are very careful to select employees who fit into the DaVita culture (which, if you're used to traditional employment settings, could take you aback a bit- it's very cultish in some ways, but it seems to work well for them). Lots of opportunities for bonuses at multiple levels.

Cons

The pay scale, at least for my position, was not in line with industry standards, even for DeLand. You wait for a year for a chance at bonuses. The health insurance is less than stellar, particularly for a healthcare company. At the upper levels, the pressure/stress is HUGE. There is a new management team in place who are busy making changes- not a bad thing overall, but extremely hard to keep up with. There is a feeling at the management level that you're expected to "live to work"- great if you like that atmosphere, not so much if you want to achieve some life balance.

Pros

Good PTO 240 a year Max for PCT $21hr starts at $12hr but after CCHT/CHT 16hr goes up every year you stay with company

Cons

No employee insurance .. anytime the FA wants they can fire you and they do no investigations.

Pros

Patient connections is rewarding work, great hands on experience, paid on the job training, training for PCTs is at least consistent.

Cons

12+ hour long hours, emotionally and physically taxing, unqualified management, poor communication, inconsistent scheduling, high turn over, very little amount of opportunity for movement within the company despite preaching that they encourage it. The culture and values are heavily spoken about with little to no enforcement. The position requires significant dedication to learn all the moving parts of the clinic.
