      Davita Labs: very unstable place to work! - Wet Lab Teammate DaVita Employee Review

      Pros

      At Davita Labs, the technical staff in the wet lab are very dedicated and care deeply about the dialysis patients! Davita corporate and the lab have a great historical story.. Davita, the greater company, has meaningful mission and values.

      Cons

      In the several years I've been at Davita, constant waves of terminations keep teammates insecure about their futures. Waves of terminations of great people have again happened this year. HR leadership is incompetent, unprofessional and unfair from a fundamental level. Gossip prevails from the upper ranks. Extreme favoritism seeps from the executive leadership. Of the 7 DLLS leadership development candidates, 5 were selected from the finance team and none from the Deland wet lab.

      Pros

      Patient connections is rewarding work, great hands on experience, paid on the job training, training for PCTs is at least consistent.

      Cons

      12+ hour long hours, emotionally and physically taxing, unqualified management, poor communication, inconsistent scheduling, high turn over, very little amount of opportunity for movement within the company despite preaching that they encourage it. The culture and values are heavily spoken about with little to no enforcement. The position requires significant dedication to learn all the moving parts of the clinic.
