Pros
Great co-workers. Our department had a culture of respect for each other. Upper management is very approachable and engaging. Pay was in line with industry and experience. Darden follows more of a European corporate model where the employees are treated like stakeholders and I found myself performing accordingly.
Cons
If you're lucky enough to get a job here you might have a hard time adjusting to the culture if you've come from a toxic environment. Another buyer made a mistake that affected my category and my instincts told me to complain to my boss and place blame. I was straightened out in one day. Boss just told me how talented the other buyer was and it doesn't necessitate nit-picking about. Also, if forced to leave this company for family reasons you will miss it and always compare your next employer to them.
