Pros

- Ability to perform duties remotely - Nice Laptop

Cons

- Although it is an American company, many people in the company only speak Mandarin with very little English including people at management. Most of the company's documentation needs to be translated from Mandarin to English - Uncompetitive pay - Poor work-life balance, there is an expectation that you are on call at all times and frequently work weekends. - The CTO is not open to suggestions for improvement, and the tech stack and architecture are very outdated. Most of the code is still written in Java 8, there are broken dependencies, and every process appears to be manual and error-prone including their deployment process. - The technical debt they took on is huge, almost daily, there were several oncall tickets to fix issues within production and an incredible backlog of issues in the system that they ignore. - Employee satisfaction and morale is super low. The turnover rate is super high, they churn out employees and they don't care. The long-term employees who are visa sponsored will not speak out because they fear losing their sponsorship.

Pros

Supportive peers, nothing much other than that.

Cons

Very low pay considering how heavy the workload is. The leadership is shortsighted and don’t see the employees as capital. The turnover rate is getting much higher leaving a big mess.
