Pros

free lunches good benefits good product -albeit difficult to install.

Cons

Databricks was a great place to work the last 3+ years that has changed. Recently many from AWS have been brought into Databricks and changed the culture overnight. Databricks used to have a "no jerks" policy that has changed. Very few sales reps are making their sales number and the very little equity is being given out and a lot of turnover. Small and a lof of sales reps. Lots of micromanagement, it seems the new AWS middle management just refreshes Salesforce dashboards all day. Very little value brought in by the mid level managers from AWS. Databricks used to always have a "customer first" attitude. That has totally changed. Lots of turn over since a lot of reps are not making their quota. The consumption quotas are very high.

Pros

Great teams made up of smart, motivated people. Databricks is an exciting place to work because it is part of the growing data and AI tools space. The benefits and income are also good overall.

Cons

Databricks no longer feels like a startup. There are now multiple layers of bureaucracy, and leadership can feel territorial rather than collaborative. Over time, it can seem like business growth and internal politics have become stronger drivers than innovation or employee experience. For long-tenured employees, it may become harder to stay excited or feel challenged. Other companies may offer a more energizing environment.
