Pay was ok. Some managers were great!

Cons

Entire business seems to be run by one power hungry person in HR. Good luck staying on longer than 1 year. No matter how good of an employee you are, you will be terminated before you are due for an increase in pay or benefits. Schedules were never posted more than 2 days before the work week. (changes frequently without warning) Was impossible to have 2 days in a row off. Sometimes scheduled for 8+ days in a row.

We strive to ensure our Team Members feel valued and heard. Our annual Team Member Opinion Survey and the extensive follow up that occurs once we receive the results is a testament to our commitment to our Team Members. As I review the Bloomington property results for our 2014 Survey (taken in November 2014) I see overall satisfaction at the hotel at 88% and satisfaction with our Human Resources Team is at 91%. I've truly enjoyed my time at Davidson. The culture is one of the company's greatest strengths and is genuinely led from the top down. Leadership is approachable, supportive, and committed to giving teams the tools and resources they need to succeed. Regional and executive leadership are engaged, accessible, and always willing to help when challenges arise. It's refreshing to work for a company that invests in its people and creates an environment where collaboration, accountability, and professional growth are encouraged every day.

Cons

Cons: Career advancement may require relocation (not a con to me but could be to some) , and some decisions can take longer yhan desired because leadership values collaboration and thoughtful planning. Overall, these are small trade-offs for the strong culture, support, and opportunities the company provides.
