Cons
If you're not brining in students, neither you nor your work matters. That's how it feels - very day, all the time. Despite the fact that you in Admin, or Ops Support, or Career Services, or Academics, are on the front lines busting your butt with a workload two times too large, improper or incomplete training, and frustrated students breathing down your neck. With all the massive layoffs, most hourly/non-exec employees are overworked, and made accountable for jobs they shouldn't be doing in the first place. Add to that the angry students who can't get any type of face to face customer support because all the student support sturctures are stripped down to the bare bones.
