Pros
DeVry does have a "culture of care", with generous PTO which most supervisors do encourage employees to use.
Cons
They will never say this outright but this is basically a telemarketing position. You use an autodialer program to constantly call prospective students that have presumably requested information from the school. However, many times these students would say they never submitted a request so I'm not sure how their information landed on our systems. 90% of the time, students will not answer the phone and your day will be spent dialing and dialing with no results. Be careful though- it doesn't matter how amazing your interactions are with the ones who do answer! DeVry will consider it a fault of yours if no one answers the phone, and they will fire you at the drop of a hat if you don't meet their outrageous enrolment goals. Keep in mind, this is a for-profit college so they will encourage you to say anything to enroll the students and keep the money flowing. At the end of the day, I would feel slimy for coercing students who probably can't afford to come to school, because I had to meet my goals or get canned.
