Pros

Very well defined vision and TEACH values. Good people with all the right intentions and a strong focus on students who might not otherwise be going to college. Every program offered has a career path which really affords those who graduate a good future

Cons

Constantly having to adjust to the pressures being brought on the for-profit sector of high education has caused constant changes in administration approaches and structure. Focus is still on education but too often the business side of things gets in the way.

Pros

I've had a very positive experience working at DeVry University. The culture is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping both employees and students succeed. Leadership is transparent about the organization's priorities and challenges, and they genuinely encourage open communication and feedback. It's refreshing to work in an environment where leaders are approachable, accessible, and invested in the success of their teams. One of the things I appreciate most is the collaborative culture. Colleagues are always willing to share ideas, support one another, and work together to solve challenges. There is a strong sense of teamwork, and successes are celebrated across the organization. DeVry also fosters a true growth mindset. Employees are encouraged to continuously learn, take on new challenges, and invest in their professional development. I recently completed an internal leadership development program that was both challenging and highly relevant to my role. It also provided a great opportunity to collaborate with leaders from across the organization, exchange ideas, and learn from one another's experiences. Experiences like this demonstrate DeVry's commitment to developing its people and preparing them for future leadership opportunities. If you're looking for an organization where you can contribute, continue learning, and work alongside talented people who genuinely care about making a difference, DeVry University is a great place to build your career.

Pros

The ALP program was a valuable leadership and professional development experience. I enjoyed connecting with colleagues across the organization, learning from different perspectives, and gaining practical takeaways I could apply in my role. The coaching sessions were especially helpful for reflecting on the content and discussing how to put the learning into practice.

Cons

The six-month program does require a meaningful time commitment, with three-hour content sessions followed by one-hour coaching sessions. At times, balancing the sessions with day-to-day responsibilities can be challenging, so having a dedicated time to fully engage in the program is important.
