No actual positive thing can be said, particularly in comparison with the effect that this job has on a person’s overall wellbeing.
Cons
The supposed flexibility is almost absent, though the work is remote setting. The workload is so heavy that it’s hard to log off for a break to keep a healthy work-life balance. Soon long working hours become the norm and time to yourself becomes discouraged and derided. The management is too controlling and micromanaging, whereby employees don’t feel trusted and constantly spied on! Communication often borders verbal abuse, which compounds to an already highly stressful environment! Rather than positive feedback or encouragement, communication is usually violent and demotivating! The stress to deliver is a never-ending one and leadership doesn’t not understand or show sympathy! This created a workplace that is emotionally exhausting, stressful, and unsustainable. With time, the stress supersedes any advantage of remote working and burnout is imminent.
