Pros
I enjoy working here because it's a product company on the rise, tackling actual customer needs rather than conjuring up issues like many startups. The culture is still vibrant and positive, featuring friendly relationships and an emphasis on meaningful work. We're spared the usual corporate hassles, focusing instead on what truly adds value. There's also a big plus in how we're not just code monkeys; engineers have a say in the business side of things, which is both empowering and engaging.
Cons
Being a startup, it's expected that not all code solutions are top-notch. We occasionally encounter less-than-ideal coding practices and spaghetti code. However, this was disclosed during the interview process, so it's no surprise. While it poses challenges, the company is actively working towards resolving these issues. For those who are skilled, navigating these challenges is more of an intriguing puzzle than a setback.
