Pros
A lot of latitude in choosing what to work on and respect from manager regarding decision making. Very easy to get face time with other employees to have a discussion and move things along. People are friendly, laid back, and not back stabbers like I've seen in other companies.
Cons
Senior management lacks a clear coherent vision; IT budgets and discretionary spend are limited to the point of making work near impossible. Dell is cheap. Very cheap. And very often you are surrounded by fairly incompetent people who just come to work to collect a paycheck.
