Pros

Most of the jobs these days post-Covid are remote so you can work from the comfort of your own home. Pay is decent and so are the benefits and other perks like reduced cost on Dell products. A yearly bonus in April based on the company's profits is nice.

Cons

Dell tries to run things as tight as inhumanly possible. In my current role, I often have to field phone, chat, and web cases when I was hired to do only phone. Staffing is always an issue and as a result, the queues are always overworked, overburdened, and heavily micromanaged by people who either don't understand the job or don't care to. Poor management tactics abound, including baseless threats to you company brand and gaslighting. Overall, my experience was bad for the first four years, great for the next three, and this last year has been terrible.

Pros

Huge company with opportunities to grow and work with other teams

Cons

The multiple time zones and countries meant a lot of night or early morning calls. Also layoffs were and are pretty regular.

Pros

Solid work-life balance for a consulting; reasonable hours most weeks, and management generally respected time off. Good exposure to enterprise-level projects and clients. Supportive team culture and decent internal mobility if you want to explore different practice areas.

Cons

Travel requirements can be intense depending on your project staffing. Client-site expectations sometimes mean back-to-back weeks on the road, which eventually takes a toll even when the day-to-day workload itself is manageable.
