Pros
You have a lot of leeway to pursue specific skills. Moving around the firm project-wise is pretty easy (especially with COVID, and everyone being remote). If you are a hard worker, you can use your time at Deloitte to seriously catapult yourself into any direction you want to go.
Cons
Low quality performance management system. Basically, the Firm takes about 2 minutes per year reviewing performance snapshots submitted by your boss. It is very, very subjective. There are no hard metrics for you to complete (Client skills, Technical Skills, Project Management skills, etc). 'Grade inflation' phenomenon exists at Deloitte.: Some Managers take the 1-5 point grade process seriously, others just mark down 5's every time. This means that people internally just align themselves with managers that give 5's. Deloitte Partners are broadly considered to be out of touch with the ground realities. I could give many examples, but consider the fact they did a 5% layoff during COVID then IMMEDIATELY started rehiring afterward. People that were laid off even got reached out to on linkedin.
