Although my experience comes from a remote work perspective, I immediately saw the lack of diversity within the zoom meetings, from my team specifically. I was the only BIPOC on my team, or minority for that matter--with the exception of two folks who were participants from another team. Due to the world shaking events that occurred, I immediately felt uncomfortable as there was no one "Like me" to discuss things with. I could only imagine how uncomfortable I would've felt in the office. No one discriminated against me, but there were moments of racial insensitivity that bothered me during my employment. There is also a lack of initiative taken by middle management to assist struggling employee's. This may be by design tho, as upper management has put a lot on their plate. Also- -Equipment often didn't work -No standardized materials for training
