Pros
Deltek is a truly wonderful employer. It's obvious from day 1 this company cares for its people. You are treated with respect on all levels, targets are set to be met and aren't impossible. You have freedom to do your job and there's no micromanaging. The work life balance is amazing, pay is very good and there are fancy rewards for those that do best (i.e.Presidents Club that offers free trips abroad). There are wonderful ERGs for the minorities (who are greatly celebrated). It's honestly a wonderful place to be in you're not looking to be promoted quickly.
Cons
My only real issue with the company is the way it promotes it's people: - all promotions happen at the end of the year. It doesn't matter how well you do all year, you must wait until Christmas to find out if you got a promotion. If you didn't get the role you wanted you have to wait another 12 months - ... that is unless you're the company's favorite. There are some people that get 'spotted' in departments and are promoted quickly and regardless of the December rule. They are marked as 'stars' and all of sudden everything is about them.
