Pros
I joined Deltek recently and have had a really smooth experience so far. From day one, I was given enough time to adapt and get comfortable in my role. The onboarding process was structured and helpful — with sessions not just on tools I’ll be using (like Salesforce, Outreach, etc.) but also interactions with different internal teams that helped me understand how everything connects. One highlight was the new hire program, where we got a warm welcome and learned about Deltek’s core values — focusing on people, customers, and growth. It also gave us a chance to meet employees from different teams and see how everyone works together toward a common goal. My team has been extremely supportive and patient throughout. The culture is collaborative, open, and easygoing. Everyone is approachable — whether it’s peers, managers, or other departments.A big plus for me has been the 1:1s with my manager, where we openly talk about my growth plan. It gives me clarity on where I’m heading and how to get there — so I never feel stuck in one place.
Cons
For most employees in India working from home, it would be great to have a reimbursement policy for WFH setup which is usually available everywhere so that’s one area i believe which could improve. For most employees in India working from home, it would be great to have a reimbursement policy for WFH setup — which is common in many companies and could make a real difference. Also, while there are in-person reconnects every two years, I personally feel meeting at least once a year would help build stronger collaboration, healthier work relationships, and better cross-team bonding — especially in a remote setup.
