This is a terrible district to work in. I had taught outside of the state and had a great teaching experience. DPS is negative, unrealistic, and unorganized. The only reason to work for DPS is that the pay is better than other districts, but other districts treat their teachers a lot better. I suggest going elsewhere and have a life. DPS expects you to work all the time and train all the time. They also only believe in a certain type of teacher and one type. If you are creative and enjoy kids and respectable parents then avoid DPS at all costs.
