Pros

$100 dollars in free product monthly $250 a year for wellness but HR is picky with what you're allowed to spend it on (no apple watches allowed but fitbits are) Bi-Weekly massages - the least they can do for all the mental anguish they cause Some good people which makes me sad that they are still working there

Cons

I really like the product and being able to use my experience and knowledge to help the company get to where it is today, but to be fully transparent this is a company that sells its customers and employees on self-care but does not care about their employee’s wellbeing or mental health AT ALL. They falsely show they care by using HR dollars on pointless virtual talks, yoga, and cooking classes. The bi-weekly massages and $250 on fitness were the only good things. What they do foster is burnout culture because they give barley any lead times on projects, no strategy, last minute turnarounds are non-stop and nothing you say will make them change that. Projects are done to just checkmark a box with no strategy and are poorly executed. Super reactive culture, nothing is EVER good enough, reprimanding for the dumbest things like talking to you colleagues and not being at your desk. The biggest pain point is that the CEO is the WORST. He can never even be considered a leader; he is an absolute joke who instills fear and ‘yes people’ on the executive team. Everyone is too scared to say no to him or call him out on his poor behavior. He always needs to be right and find any mistakes you made especially if you're a woman. He enjoys making his employees uncomfortable which is ridiculous to me and HR is well aware of this and nothing has ever been done. I didn’t feel psychologically safe to say anything by the end of my time at Dermalogica because he just argues about pointless things to make himself feel superior. He is a bully in a leadership role. I really liked the company and most of the people I worked with but anyone director level or higher won’t stand up to him or protect their teams from him. If you are trying to escape a pervious company because of their toxic culture avoid this one at all costs as well. Estee Laundry exposed them this summer on Instagram which they have saved as a highlight on their profile if you want to read because it's all true.
