Pros

Great atmosphere within the company, leaders genuinely want you to grow as a professional and see you succeed. Encouraged to seek new designations to further development. Get to fully utilize all the skills as a financial professional you are taught.

Cons

Very fast paced, except excellence, and demand a high standard from you as a professional.

Pros

I had a positive experience working here overall. The people were welcoming, supportive, and genuinely cared about creating a collaborative work environment. Leadership was very approachable, and I appreciated the opportunities to learn and the trust placed in employees. This role gave me valuable experience and helped me better understand my own career goals. Ultimately, I realized that financial planning as a profession wasn't the right long term fit for me, which was a personal career decision rather than a reflection of the company or team. The organization provided a professional environment with knowledgeable colleagues, and I'm grateful for the experience.

Cons

Like many roles in wealth management, the work can be detail-oriented and demanding, so it's important to have a genuine interest in financial planning and the subject matter to thrive. It is a fast paced environment and can be high stress but DEW allowed me to feel comfortable to come forward about how I was feeling regarding the role.

Pros

Great work/life balance. First time as an IT person where I didn't have to worry about on-call, nights, and weekends as long as I was available to respond to emergencies as needed (which were infrequent). Outside of IT, everyone has a real passion for what they do and truly encourages each other to be their best. It's not often you get a blend of hard working individuals with a more relaxed environment.

Cons

Only con I think of is sometimes leadership moves too quickly on new innovation and requires that IT rein them in to ensure proper compliance/security considerations. This was a small qualm, as leadership was open to most conversations and would see the value in slowing down and ensuring proper security alignment with the business goal.
