Pros

My peers on my team and I bonded over suffering. Kept my job after I mentally snapped for a month. But coincidentally “eliminated my job position” shortly after.

Cons

Inconsistencies in expectations and job role, helicopter micromanagement style and not sensitive to mental health. One time, when speaking on the job stress, my manager pantomimed wrist cutting and said “don’t cut yourself or jump out of a window over this.” not too long after that I took a month off due to mental health. I was let go shortly after my return. This is HUMAN RESOURCES how is that kind of verbiage okay? They are financially hurting. Couldn’t even get lunch for 6 people for coming to office for an in person meeting. What a joke. They will request you to be onsite (hybrid) in an office for no reason, solely because they bought expensive real estate. That’s your problem. Even when you’ve proven to be more successful from home. Will call and request you turn your video on to make sure you’re in the office. Nobody from your team will be there, just some randoms not associated with your work. But you still must sit and rot there. No work life balance. Will call you if you appear offline, so use your mobile app to look active ALL the time, or get a mouse jiggler!

Cons

The industry itself can be incredibly stressful but I imagine its the same for competitors as well.

Pros

Quick opportunity to get promoted if you have the right mentorship and accounts. Honestly really nice employees (cross-functionally) and people are willing to help you. A good place to dip your toes in as a young hire, KPI's are fairly easily but some of the director's are a bit micro-managey.

Cons

In our office - we had 3 Managing Directors and 3 VP's in 3 years with two rounds of layoffs (enterprise wide.) The largest gap in the company is their leadership is so disconnected from the producers and what you truly need to do to succeed in sales. They run on a lot of enterprise accounts which makes it hard as a young sales person to connect with tenured sales people, who haven't truly sold or broken into accounts in some time. Additionally, there are lots of corporate politics and people in leadership that overshare other leaders dirty laundry with young sales folks, making it a bit of an uncomfortable place to be in. I think this place is a good starting zone for a career but it is not the place to be if you are a hustler and want to truly grow as a sales professional.
