Pros
I wasn't planning on leaving a review, but some of these reviews left a sour taste in my mouth. Dex is full of passionate, smart, and mission driven individuals. Many of them, they are friends outside of work. Almost everyone in the organization across all functions have the ability to work on high impact work with a fast pace ladder for growth (as compared to a larger Fortune 500 company I have worked for). Does Dex have growing pains? Absolutely. That is the nature of early stage startups. The path is not linear. While we have made some mistakes as an organization, we have course corrected and for the most part not made the same mistake twice. However, not everyone has the patience when the boat is oscillating at sea. Those that have stayed recognize that it takes grit / resilience and you have accept that some parts of the sea may be choppy if we want to make it across the ocean. If you are interviewing for Dex, then ask your next interviewer: "Why are you here and not somewhere else?" Then, you can make the judgement whether this is the right place for you.
Cons
*Cash comp: Cash compensation is lower than Bigtech, but HR has done a good job at adjusting it to make the offers more competitive offer combined with equity. All of the salaries bands are on the job descriptions. *Whiplash in decision making: 95% of the time you are empowered to make your own decisions, but 5% of the time you may get overwritten by executive authority. We can do better here when it comes to managing whiplash for the team. It's much better from a year ago, but can still improve.
