Pros

- Interesting problem space. - Some very talented colleagues.

Cons

- There is no coherent internal structure to the company. Unbalanced favor and rewards from leadership create a culture of tribalism and bitter infighting. No sense of a common goal, and the stress of navigating the conflict will follow you home. - Salary is well below market rate and the benefits are a joke. No 401k match or other significant retirement benefits - the CEO sees stock options as the "retirement plan". Most of the other benefits and perks have been axed over time. Raises and bonuses are rare and, more importantly, tiny. Your comp will not keep up with inflation. - Leadership changes the direction of the company often and with no warning. It's difficult to predict if your work will survive 6 or even 3 months without being discarded, which contributes to: - Morale. Morale is very, very low across the board. Projects are directionless with few avenues for feedback that isn’t politically motivated, deadlines are wildly unreasonable, and most staff have 2x or 3x the workload they can comfortably handle. The company refuses to hire, train, or reward people despite the increasing volume of work. Burnout is the status quo.

Pros

I enjoy being around people who are really interested in solving problems. Conversations on the floor are usually about making something work better instead of simply getting through the shift. The standards are high, but I like working for a company that cares about quality and is ready to invest in new technology. On top of that, it offers good pay and benefits.

Cons

Some new processes take quite a while to get used to.

Pros

* Good pay based off of experience. I got paid on the higher end of the spectrum. * The appointment based schedule is great. * Colleagues are nice and supportive.

Cons

* Lack of clear communication between employees -> managers -> regional managers -> higher ups. Essentially no one knows what happening until the last minute, Or there's an annoying work around you have to do in order to get clear, verified information. Things are also changing way too fast to give anyone proper notice which I find disrespectful. * The hours are horrible. We're open way too late. My life is essentially my job because I have no ability to do anything else after work. * Conversion rates and quotas are ridiculous. Jewelry is one of the lowest conversion categories, yet they want us to close 50% of our engagment ring appointments. Having a quota that stays the exact same every single month despite some months being much, much, much slower than others is also just stupid.
