Pros
The training program is incredible and the employee benefits are the best that I've come across. From start to finish, DCU as an employer (as well as a financial institution), has been a seamless process and a rewarding opportunity.
Cons
Some branches, in particular- are very busy, however, that is not something that has not been addressed, as the company constantly looks for more ways to give the power of teller-actions in member's hands. For example, mobile banking, ATM functionality/hours, and Automatic Transfers/ACH, etc. The only other cons are solely from the gripes of being a Teller, as in- handling many people's money in an efficient, wholesome manner. Doing such work was not my cup of tea but the company offered to retrain me and never handled any mistakes I made in any malicious manner. In fact, I often wish my current and subsequent employers would handle mistakes as professionally, and as beneficially as DCU always had. Similarly, my preference to pursue other means of employment was graciously taken and the cooperation to satisfy my overall comfort was an extremely helpful part of my exiting of the company.
