Pros
Decent salary and benefits for office workers
Cons
Departments are hit or miss. Favoritism and a true 'mean girls' culture. You're told to speak up, but god forbid you speak up against something management has done. I saw on multiple occasions where someone was punished for reporting something or sharing a concern. And these people then get labeled and treated poorly. It's practically a science for them. Very much the culture of "shut your mouth and do what you're told". Managers and above are fine with screaming and making threats when they're upset with you, but YOU'RE expect to act 100% professional all the time. Higher ups are VERY over involved which makes projects take forever. Expectations are unclear, project scopes changes constantly. You're asked to over document every piece of work you're doing, and have tons of meetings. You spend way more time talking about what you WOULD be doing than actually doing it. Lots of people talk behind your back. They'll talk badly about others, and if you say anything they WILL repeat it to get brownie points. Strongly agree with the people who've said if you challenge the status quo you WILL be stomped out. Way behind the times as far as technology, culture, and diversity.
