Cons
You will not be rewarded for working hard for this company. I was a call center rep for 10 months before transferring to Mortgage servicing. I was only able to get out because I'd put in my 6 months and was eligible for a transfer. The call center is is a total quagmire. I only learned 3/4 of what I actually used while on the phones. Given their number of members and call volume, they would need to double the amount of staff to make a dent in this issue. In mortgage servicing, while I had a GREAT boss, the environment was still hectic, stressful, and management was too busy to help with most things. I got minimal training and was expected to know how to do stuff that I had never ever heard of before this point. However, the most egregious aspect of this is that despite putting in overtime every week for 6 months straight, taking on every ounce of additional responsibility I could, learning everything I could, and expressing my wish to not be re-assigned to a role I specifically asked not be assigned to, upper management assigned me anyway. You will not be rewarded for working hard and sacrificing at this company.
