Pros
It pays really well for retail (but only for the first six months.) You get first pick of sale items, and some managers let you buy damaged items for cheap. It might be a good weekend part-time job.
Cons
The management is incompetent and unfair. The ticketing system is antiquated beyond belief. I spent much of my time reticketing merchandise instead of attending to customers. During my time there, I was never late, kept the sales floor perfectly groomed, and had the highest sales in my department. My manager acknowledged that I was the best worker she had. When I asked a month in advance for a day off to go to my husband's graduation, I was denied. Is that the right way to treat your best employees? In addition, the sales-per-hour compensation system is awful. If you don't make your quota by six months, you get a pay cut, even if your sales are highest in your department.
