Pros

The 25% off discount and 1 hour lunch. That's all...

Cons

-Dillard's has the worst toxic work culture of any company. It is filled with miserable employees who have worked there for 10+ years and who refuse to do anything better in their lives. -You can hear the gossiping all the time in the cubicles. -All assistant buyers who start here realize right away that this is not the place they want to be. They work until they can't take it anymore or get a promotion then run out. -There is no HR. And forget about voicing your concerns to your manager, they will use your words against you. -You will be overworked with 45+ hours a week. -The average salary for a buyer is way lower than the national average. -Offices are dirty and the technology is so out of date that it's laughable.

Pros

I gained good customer service and problem solving experience while working here. You learn how to multitask under pressure. I also gained experience gift wrapping(I found out I enjoy this part of the job a lot), shipping orders, and overall in store functions. I met many supportive and enjoyable coworkers while working here as well as memorable customers.

Cons

The main Cons of working here were: -Chronic understaffing -Too many responsibilities expected from one associate -Feeling unsupported by main management - Hard work and extra effort often goes unrecognized - High stress due to unrealistic workload expectations - Limited opportunities for actual feedback to management to actually improve
