Discord Response
3yThank you for sharing your feedback and bringing these concerns to light. At Discord, the wellbeing of our employees always comes first and we're sorry to hear that finding a good work/life balance has been difficult.
We never want our employees to push to the point of burnout, and are always exploring company-wide solutions to help alleviate this. We encourage you to take advantage of mental health days that are covered under our flexible sick leave policy, participate in Heads-Down Thursdays, and utilize our benefits like Modern Health (16 sessions of therapy and coaching support). We’d also encourage you to have a discussion with your manager if you have concerns about your workload, and they can help rearrange priorities to help our teammates navigate burnout.
Additionally, we support our managers in helping guide career paths that are right for each individual employee and recognize that career clarity is extremely important as our company grows. Bullying or hostility of any kind is not the type of behavior we condone at Discord, has NEVER been acceptable, and is certainly not in line with our company principles. Your feedback is taken very seriously and has been brought to the attention of the appropriate teams internally.
If you are comfortable, we strongly recommend reaching out to your manager, People Partner or a trusted leader so we can address your concerns in a meaningful way. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us – your feedback makes us better.
