Working at Discord can be a demanding experience that requires a combination of skills and hard work to thrive. While growth is an essential part of the job, it can take many different forms and is not solely tied to one's job title. Each day presents new challenges, and it's important to remember that Discord is a startup and, like any startup, we are learning and improving as we go. However, we are committed to doing our best for the company's sake. If you're the type of person who thrives on challenge, is willing to work hard, and is eager to grow professionally, then Discord is an excellent place to work. We encourage our employees to get their hands dirty, take risks, and be creative. However, if you prefer to coast along without contributing or are not up for the challenge of working at a startup, then perhaps another workplace would be more suitable for you.
Cons
We've experienced a significant amount of change through the last few years which is expected for a pre-IPO company. My advice to leaders is to not lose sight of what makes Discord such a special place to work for.
