Pros
Lots of free time in the first month of joining. Decent pay scale (if this excites you not the work). Brand value if you have worked in a startup earlier and none of your relatives know your company name.
Cons
You might be excited to join discovery as a brand, but you will be greeted with exactly the opposite when you join them. No Team, No introduction, no KT, No buddy assignment(First point mentioned in their SDE mandatory training :D) and you might be doing nothing for at least 3 weeks until you get fed up with lethargic leadership. People who know stuff will not give you time and you will end up learning every single thing on your own and that too at snail pace. Once you get involved, you'll land up in infinite running calls where you contribute nothing but some random instructions from your managers. They talk big during your interview but hardly it boils down to materializing something. Managers lack communication terribly and don't know how to make everyone progress in the team, maybe because the majority of them are from service-based organizations. P & C is a joke and will hardly help you in anything.
