Everything about working at Discovery is a con. There is no work life balance. It is work only. Workloads doubled with no pay raises. No communication, you are blind sided by anything that happens. You are expected to work well over 40 hours a week to meet deadlines. Senior management shows favoritism to certain employees. Middle management will lie and throw you under the bus to save or cover their own mistakes. Middle management has never even been in management until their current positions. The rules are not applied equally to all employees. If management likes you the rules don't apply. The worst part of working there is the employees were told Discovery merged with another company when in reality the other company bought out Discovery. Also many job tasks were outsourced and the employees were told the outsourcing was there to help but what is really going on is the final plan is to remove all tasks from corporate to the outsourced employees. Bottom line if you need a paycheck for a few months Discovery is OK. If you are looking for a career and a good company to work for keep on moving.

Benefits, coworkers, and the residents. Most of the regional staff were great

Cons

Executive director and Director of nursing were horrible to work with and chased off some great managers, however corporate is handling the problem finally.
