Pros

The San Diego Dokken Office mainly consist of transportation, drainage, and a structural team. Once you are under the wing of one of the teams they will try their best to train and mentor you. Dokken really cares about their employees.

Cons

Training really depends on the supervisor you have. Some teams will train better than others, and some teams will not train you as well. It really just depends.

Pros

This is a solid company to work for with excellent benefits and employee perks. The work itself can be enjoyable and meaningful, and the company has a strong mission and values that are well intentioned. Overall, it feels like a stable place to work, and there are many day-to-day aspects of the job that make it a positive experience. I enjoy most of what I do here and see a lot of potential in the company. With stronger leadership involvement and clearer growth opportunities, this could be an even better place to build a long-term career.

Cons

Management is an area that could use improvement. There are limited opportunities for upward growth, and work-life balance doesn’t always feel like a priority. In some departments, employees are expected to be very self-sufficient, which can be difficult when guidance, feedback, or involvement from management is minimal. It can also be frustrating when effort levels across teams don’t always align with the company’s mission.
