Enjoyed working with customers and the employees were really nice when you are nice to them. Learned a lot about setting up displays, and sorting merchandise for each department. How to check in merchandise from vendors and store trucks. Perform close out duties and manage employees. Learned how to set up new store from Store Merchandiser and other store employees who shared their knowledge
Cons
Long hours, morning, mid, evening sometimes late when you first opened the store. Working with other managers that lacked skills for their position. Working with a manager that did not want to help you when you had issues closing the store. Low pay for management position. Way too much wrong merchandise for a store. It takes too long to get mileage approved.
