Pros
They are usually understanding of appointments or mishaps that may cause you to be a little late or miss a shift
Cons
God forbid anything truly terrible happen to you, they still expect you to only care about how it affects them and their status to the big boss. Only the GM and AM are allowed to be full time, and if you request as many hours as possible, they will only let you work 2-3 shifts a week, even if they are capable of taking hours from an employee that continuously proves they would rather be anywhere else. They refuse to fire those that do not show up, constantly half-a** basic tasks to the point others (not management) have to spend multiple shifts to fix their mistakes. Would rather have a manager that says every day they never wanted the manager position so they could spend more time with their kid rather than make that person a basic associate. Management also prefers for you to allow disrespect and abuse from customers, such as screaming, berating, and degrading you, or else you'll get a write up.
