Pros
Employer in this region emphasizes helping employees create and build skills (company pays for training and training to be done during work hours) for building future success if you want training that can help you improve job performance. Additional emphasis on creating and building soft skills for interpersonal work relationships. Employee does not treat you like a robot that always needs to churn out top tier work at a fast pace— they recognize employees are human beings and have free employee support services to utilize for improving mental and physical health so that you are physically and mentally able to produce your best work during the work day Fantastic health insurance even with the lowest tier option! Upper management takes the time at least once a year to directly meet and talk with with front line employees to understand frontline current needs, understand what works and what is not working, and talk about what upper management can do to improve frontline employee experience and performance Respects work/life balance As a person with “invisible” disabilities, I am VERY happy to say that this company values and supports employees with disabilities. They mandate training for all employees to educate us on many different disabilities (what they look like, how you can’t always visually see disabilities, how to support all coworkers because you may not know or even need to know if they have disabilities)
Cons
Salary needs to be at least $10k higher at all levels and positions in this region… with cost of living increases, I am only able to live paycheck to paycheck Staffing— please increase staffing! Decrease amount of time on considering opening new positions, decrease time between hiring new employees and their start date/onboarding
